FLEX CONNECTORS
Southwest Gaskets provides standard ring or full face flange gaskets in any size and class. They are available in many different materials and thicknesses. Gaskets are provided in old standard unless otherwise requested.
We provide custom duct gaskets commonly used on air pollution control scrubbers and fans. Large diameter gaskets for covers, manholes and access doors are no problem. Provide a drawing and we can provide a quote.
Flexible connectors are used on industrial duct or blower connections. The most common materials are Neoprene, EPDM and Viton. The sleeves have vulcanized joints and can be provided with clamps if needed.

TEFLON ENVELOPE
Compression packing is used to seal the stuffing box or annular spaces in pumps and valves. Compression packing is available in many sizes and materials to suit the service conditions.
Virgin expanded PTFE with pressure sensitive adhesive is available in the following sizes: 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″. 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″ and 1″. Joint sealant can be used in place of a regular gasket. It is soft and conformable and is often used on damaged or irregular surfaces.
PTFE envelope gaskets combine the strength and bolt load retention of the filler material with the chemical resistance of the PTFE. Envelope gaskets are available in multiple styles with a choice of filler materials available.

For larger gaskets that cannot be cut in one piece, a vulcanizing press is used to chemically bond two ends of rubber together. The bond is longer lasting and maintains it’s elastic properties.
An expansion joint is a device used to absorb thermal expansion and vibration in piping systems. Expansion joints are available in rubber and PTFE lined. Expansion joints for ducting applications are also available.
