FLANGE GASKETS

Southwest Gasket provides standard ring or full face flange gaskets in any size and class. They are available in many different materials and thicknesses.

CUSTOM GASKETS

We provide custom duct gaskets commonly used on air pollution control scrubbers and fans. Large diameter gaskets for covers, manholes and access doors are no problem. Provide a drawing and we can quote to your specifications.

FLEX CONNECTORS

Flexible connectors are used on industrial duct or blower connections. The most common materials are Neoprene, EPDM and Viton. The sleeves have vulcanized joints and can be provided with clamps if needed.

PACKING

Compression packing is used to seal the stuffing box or annular spaces in pumps and valves. Compression packing is available in many sizes and materials to suit the service conditions.

JOINT SEALANT

Virgin expanded PTFE with pressure sensitive adhesive is available in the following sizes: 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″ and 1″. Joint sealant can be used in place of a regular flange gasket. It is soft and conformable and is often used on damaged or irregular surfaces.

TEFLON ENVELOPE

PTFE envelope gaskets combine the strength and bolt load retention of the filler material with the chemical resistance of PTFE. Envelope gaskets are available in multiple styles with a choice of filler materials available.

SPLICING

For larger gaskets that cannot be cut in one piece, a vulcanizing press is used to chemically bond two ends of rubber together. The bond is longer lasting and maintains its elastic properties.

EXPANSION JOINTS

An expansion joint is a device used to absorb thermal expansion and vibrations in piping systems. Expansion joints are available in rubber and PTFE lined. Expansion joints for ducting applications are also available.

Stock items can usually ship the same day. Orders are shipped via UPS as soon as they are ready. Local deliveries may be made by courier.

MATERIALS

Gasket material fills the space between two objects to prevent leakage while the service media is under pressure or vacuum. The material saves money by allowing less precision machining between the mating surfaces of flanges and other connections. The material must withstand the service conditions for which it was selected and it must also be economical. We can assist you in the selection of the material for your application.
